Finding The Right Forex Broker
Working With A Forex Broker
A Broker is a person (or a corporation or company) who represents you and handles the exchange of any finance on your behalf. They will assist people who want to participate in Forex trading.
They act as the middle men and broker the deals. The Forex broker is qualified to trade in the currency market on your (the traders) behalf and following your instructions. They are paid for the provision of this service.
When commencing as traders it cannot be presumed that the broker will be making all the decisions and not requiring input from the trader until the transaction is complete and their profit is collected.
This is a false assumption. It is the traders responsibility to make choices and be guided by the Forex broker’s suggestions but the final decision and risk belongs to the trader. You, as a trader, are required to instruct your money which direction to take in order for a good result.
So the question comes, “How do I chose a Forex broker who will assist me in my efforts to make good decisions in the trading market?” This is not a decision to be taken lightly and must be made wisely.
As you are placing financial investments into the hands of the Forex broker it is important to make a wise choice. If this person is untrustworthy then you can lose all your investment finance. Don’t be disheartened there are honest brokers in the market and many have long experience and there will be one who can help you make the most of the currency market opportunities.
So we still have not found out how we find a trustworthy Forex broker. There are a number of simple processes to follow before making that important decision.
Ask lots of questions:
1) How does a Forex broker make their money from your transactions?
2) Are commissions charged by the Forex broker?
3) Make a list of Forex brokers
4) Investigate the brokers on your list to see if they are registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
5) Is there a fee charged by the broker for providing you with their services?
Ask around among your friends and acquaintances and see if any of them use a Forex broker. Ask them for recommendations as well as those to avoid.
Your friends may not know if the broker has a strong and secure brokering history.
When you have broken your list down to the last several make sure that you speak with them via phone and if possible meet them personally to get to know them. Ask what their past history in the industry has been. Ask for a referrer who has used their services for a length of time and go to any lengths to make contact with them.
If the Forex broker does not have the time to meet or speak with you and answer your questions then they do not deserve a share of the profits you are going to achieve in the Forex market.
